Conservation in Action: Kolhapur's 'Poaching-Free' Campaign Protects Western Ghats Wildlife.

In the lush landscapes of Kolhapur , a bold new initiative is taking root. The 'Poaching-Free Kolhapur' campaign, launched by the Kolhapur forest department , is a direct and determined response to the increased threat of poaching in the region's precious forest areas   . This effort represents a significant step in protecting the incredible wildlife of the Western Ghats , a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity   . The campaign’s strategy is twofold: stringent enforcement and proactive community engagement. The forest department is sending a strong message that illegal activities will not be tolerated. As Deputy Conservator of Forests Dhairyasheel Patil stated, those found guilty of illegal hunting can face severe consequences, including imprisonment for 3 to 7 years and hefty fines  .  माती आड दडलेला शिवकालीन खजीना पावनगडावर 4/2/2021 रोजी मोठ्या प्रमाणात दगडी तोफगोळे सापडले. हे तोफगोळे शिवकालीन असुन आकाराने लहान मोठे आहेत. या ठिकाणी सापडलेले 406 तोफगोळे पुरातत्व विभागाच्या ताब्यात दिले आहेत. किल्ले पावनगडावर टिम पावनगड या संस्थेकडून गेल्या दिड दोन वर्षापासुन दुर्गसंवर्धनाच काम सुरू आहे. या गडावर  दिशादर्शक फलक लावण्याचे काम गेल्या आठ दिवसापासुन सुरू आहे. हे काम करणाऱ्या अविनाश लंबे, निरंजन सुर्यवंशी, मारुती पाटील,सार्थक भोसले आदी दुर्गवीरांच्या संपर्कात सातत्याने होते.   4/2/2021 रोजी पावनगडावर जावून उर्वरीत चार बोर्ड लावण्याचे ठरले होते, यासाठी  सुखदेव गिरी , राम यादव  अविनाश लंबे, निरंजन सुर्यवंशी आणि सार्थक भोसले गडावर पोहचलो होतो. तुपाची विहिर आणि अन्य दोन ठिकाणचे बोर्ड लावून झाल्यानंतर मुख्य मंदीरासमोरील बोर्ड लावण्यासाठी केवळ पाच सहा इंच खोदकाम केले असता  त्या ठिकाणी दगडी तोफगोळे असल्याचे आढळून आले. एकास एक लागुन जमिनीत दडलेला तोफगोळ्याचा खजिना दुर्ग संवर्धनाच्या निमित्याने उजेडात आला. केवळ दोन x दोन फुटाच्या खोलीत शेकडो ...

72nd Republic Day 2021 | Vishwa Associates, Kolhapur

This year 2021, we all Indians will celebrate our 72nd Republic Day as it prepares to memoralize the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950.  Historically, this day is observed by festivities such as the well-known Delhi Republic Day parade at Rajpath, which honours the Indian military forces and our rich cultural heritage.  Usually, the parade is a lively event with more than 100,000 people attending but the celebrations will be toned down this year due to the pandemic. There will be no chief guest this year, making it the first Republic Day parade without a chief guest in 50 years.  The flag hoisting event will be held at 8 am on Tuesday, January 26. This year the spectators have been limited to 25,000 compared to 150,000 last year. Similarly, the number of media representatives has been cut from 300 to 200.
